Experienced mountain horse ready to go for 2024 season!

Chip has extensive mountain miles under his belt, in addition to a loaded resume! Chip has been used for ponying colts, checking cattle, sorting cattle, competing in obstacle challenges, and he has recently been introduced to team sorting – He’s even been ridden through town!

Chip has climbed mountains and crossed rivers without missing a beat and excels at bog, logs, rocky footing and elevation. He would also make a great ranch horse if someone put some rope hours on him having had lots of exposure to cattle, and been used to check cattle and sort on the ranch.

Chip neck reins, collects, side passes, turns on forehand and turns on haunches. He has been ridden with saddle bags and full mountain gear. He is very accepting of tarps and new things. Chip rides out alone or in a group, and he’s good with dogs tagging along underfoot.

He’s quiet, soft & responsive, and a joy to ride.
However, he’s a big 16hh horse with a lot of strength and power and he is not for a beginner or a nervous rider. Best suited to an experienced rider.

Up to date for feet, vaccines and dewormer. Teeth done Jan 2024.
