Moon

“Moon” is a 5 year old Gypsy draft cross gelding standing at 14HH. With gorgeous feathered feet, flowing long mane and tail, and a laid back attitude – you don’t want to miss this guy!

Moon’s quiet disposition makes everyday tasks enjoyable. He’s a pleasure to be around, and will meet you at the gate in the morning patiently waiting to be caught. He loads confidently in the trailer and stands relaxed while tied up. Whether you’re riding alone or with others, he’s happy either way. His resume includes dragging calves in the branding trap, moving and sorting cattle, trail riding, roping the breakaway sled, and carrying a flag at our local pro rodeo last summer. Moon is soft, willing, and handles new challenges sensibly. We believe with some time and more experience Moon has the potential to be a great kids horse one day. Moon would be best suited to someone that can give him lots of leg, drive, and direction as he’s naturally very ratey, hunts his stop, and requires a little get up and go from his rider! He is unhurried and takes his time, making him a safe partner.

Moon has great feet and is up to date on his teeth and deworming. We encourage anyone interested to come check him out before the sale. Located west of Nanton, AB.
