Hot Dog

Hot Dog is an 11 year old Percheron Quarter horse cross gelding that we have used all over the ranch and feedlot. Hot Dog was full time on the payroll calving cows, treating and tagging calves, and doctoring yearlings on grass. From dragging calves to the fire to pushing the shipping alley Hot Dog has seen it and done it at a high level. This big well made gelding stands 16.3 and will weigh 1450#. I’ve used Hot Dog at some bull ridings shagging bulls and nothing ever seems to phase him. Hot Dog has roped and tied down a ton of cattle in the pasture and feedlot, he is really nice to 1 or 2 man doctor on and will hold a rope and ground tie all day long. Hot Dog has been used extensively in rough country, he is a point and go type that will cross absolutely anything you point him at. I used Hot Dog in the Ponoka Stampede Parade this past summer and he handled all of the commotion flawlessly. Hot Dog gets around himself really nice for a big horse, spins both ways and will really get in the bridle. Hot Dog has a really soft eye, is good to catch, will stand tied all day and is dog gentle on the ground. My kids have really grown accustomed to brushing and crawling all over him.
