Hooty is a really gentle, 5 year old gelding who knows what a long day of work is and packs around a nice pedigree. Hooty is by Cat Dot Com who is by all time leading sire High Brow Cat. He has been on the pay roll the last couple years calving over 700 head and taking care of 13,000+ in the feedlot and then used all summer treating yearlings and pairs on grass. Hooty is really nice to sort on, and has passed every pressure test we’ve put him through so far. From crashing cows in the processing alley to treating yearlings on grass Hooty has exceeded our expectations. This gelding can really move his feet, has a mind that wants to be trained and will really get after a cow. Hooty has a very kind gentle nature, he is definitely a barn favourite. If Hooty is left off for a long period of time, you can saddle him with confidence and step on knowing he will be the same horse as when you kicked him out. Hooty comes with power steering, he rides bridle-less, he likes to spin, will plant a foot in the ground to turnaround and catch his leads both ways. Hooty is the kind that you can ranch on all morning and let the kids ride all afternoon. Hooty is well bred, nicely made and a pleasure to have around the place.
