By sale day, Tig will have had six consistent months with Colby Bowers, and the growth we’ve seen in that time speaks volumes about his potential. Like many horses with elite pedigrees, Tig is sensitive and talented—he responds best to a soft, confident hand and a rider willing to continue developing what’s already there. He has had multiple trainers throughout his seven years, and we truly feel he is beginning to realize his potential. Tig has previously been exposed to the barrel pattern and shows the athleticism to excel in the right program. Since being with Colby, he has also been introduced to team roping. He’s confidently roped the Heel-O-Matic and has been started on slower live cattle. With his size, strength, and forward run, Tig has the tools to develop into a standout head horse.

At seven, Tig has matured into a friendly gelding with a good mind. He is not suited for a beginner rider—he is not a “grandmother or granddaughter” horse—yet. However, he is well on his way to becoming that type of dependable partner with continued, consistent training.
