Cowboy

“Cowboy” is the perfect name for this young gelding. He is a confident, independent, well built Welsh Cross with a “been there, done that” attitude. Turning three in June and approximately 13 hands, nothing seems to faze this young gelding. He has the desire to work and learn. You can crawl under him, wrap him in tarps, ropes or flags. He has pulled tires, jugs and the Christmas tree. He has done obstacle courses in and out of arenas, this fella is desensitized. He is easy to catch and is working on being ground tied while being saddled. Cross ties in the barn, loves his stall. He has been ridden bareback, Western or English and easy to mount. He has only been rode in a halter but will be introduced to the bit. He loves water, bath time and has been swimming in the lake. He has spent many hours ditch riding beside a busy highway, pasture riding as well as indoor/outdoor arenas. Possible prospect for English/Cross Country eventing as he loves to free jump (approx 3-4 feet) with room. He has started on side passing, front and back, and leg reining. Walk, trot and stop come easy, still working on loping. Continuing to work on transitions. Cowboy self loads into the trailer and is up to date with barefoot trims. 100% sound, never taken a lame step and never had any major injuries. Besides being a great pony, he has the possibility of being an all around ranch or jumping horse. He is registered for two upcoming clinics in February and will continue with training.
