Atlas

Atlas is a 6-year-old brown, grade gelding. He stands 16hh and weighs 1200lbs. Atlas has a solid build, good feet, and straight legs. He is sensible to be around and easy to catch.

Atlas started his career as a 3-year-old on a working cattle ranch. He has been used in rough, rocky timber country, and open grasslands; he handles his feet well and is comfortable crossing through bodies of water. His ranch experience has included moving cow/calf pairs, bulls, yearlings, doctoring sick cattle, calving cows and exposure in the branding trap.

Atlas has been started as a head horse on the heelomatic and on live cattle. He’s been used as a turnback horse and to sort cattle at cuttings. Additionally, he was used in the 2023 Nicola Valley Ranch Rodeo and handled himself well.

Atlas will continue to be used as a ranch horse and be exposed more on the heading side until sale time. He is UTD on farrier work, worming, dental and vaccinations.
