Don’t let Smoke’s size fool you — this little guy has the heart and ability to keep up with the big horses all day long.

Smoke is a well-rounded, experienced pony with a solid foundation and a long resume of real-life miles. He was started under saddle as a two-year-old and has since done a bit of everything — ranch riding, mountain trails, and riding lessons. He’s the type that happily loads himself on the trailer and just wants to be part of whatever adventure you have planned.

He rides both Western and English and has a steady, willing mind. Smoke is game to try anything and has been exposed to far more than most ponies his size — crossing rivers and bridges, swimming, trail obstacles, jumping, dressage basics, gymkhanas, pony club-type games, pulling sleds, ponying bikes, and all the everyday chaos that comes with kid life. He’s seen the world and handles it with confidence.

Out on the trail he is incredibly sensible and sure-footed. He’ll lead or follow quietly, handles wildlife and mountain terrain confidently, and goes through water without hesitation. He’s used to slickers, saddle bags, high lines, and busy environments. He’s soft in the mouth, responsive off your leg, and straightforward to ride.

His smooth, rocking-horse lope makes him comfortable to ride for miles. At 11.2hh, he’s the perfect size for kids while still being sturdy enough that a smaller adult or teen can hop on in a pinch.

Smoke is best suited for confident beginners and up, and would truly thrive with a kid in a lesson program, 4-H/pony club setting, or with an experienced, horse-savvy family who will continue to keep him busy. He’s a fantastic partner for a child who wants to learn, grow, and do a bit of everything.

He is 100% sound with hard black feet and is up to date on farrier, vaccinations, and deworming.
