Rio

Rio is a standout 3-year-old Paint gelding with a big future ahead of him. Standing a solid 15.3 hands already at just three years old, Rio is a big-boned, good-footed gelding built like a tank and made to last. He was lightly started as a 2-year-old and now has approximately 8 months of training. He is soft, willing, and an excellent mover with a great mind.

Rio has been ranch roped off of, headed and heeled on the Heel-O-Matic, as well as live steers on the slower side. He has been ridden extensively in the arena, pasture, and out on the trails. He hauls well, is not spooky, and does not buck, bolt, or rear. He is an easy keeper and a pleasure to have around.

At just three years old, Rio quickly became the first horse to be grabbed when doctoring cattle or when a job needs to get done. He is trustworthy, reliable, and gritty—qualities that are hard to find in a young horse. With his honest nature and solid foundation, he would make an excellent ranch horse and has the potential to go in any direction.

This gelding has a very lovable personality and will meet you at the gate every day. He is the kind that will turn heads wherever you take him—whether it’s the branding pen, the roping pen, or a quiet day out on the trails.

Rio is up to date on teeth, farrier work, vaccinations, and deworming. A quality young gelding with looks, brains, and a bright future.
