Running Shine

“Shine” is a 13 year old AQHA mare, standing at 14.3hh and 1,295 lbs she is built to work! I have owned this mare since she was a weanling. She has a great work ethic. She can go all day, she just needs a job. She was started as a 4 year old and rode off and on since, often sitting for long periods due to no fault of her own. She is always happy to get back to work and in the swing of things. She has been used to move cattle and snub colts. Just pull her out of the trailer and long trot out. She is good to catch, load, bath, blanket and is good on the Equi-Ciser. She is an easy keeper. She is NOT a kids horse but continuously gets better and more well rounded the more miles she gets on her. She does best when rode consistently and thrives when she has a job and a rider with soft hands. The harder you work her the happier she is. She is currently being rode 5-6 days/week. For being 13, she hasn’t been rode hard so she has lots of years left in her. She has a good handle on her, very soft, neck reins, starting to work on spins and sliding stops. She is going to make a nice all around mare for someone who has the time and consistency to put into her. She does have a scar on her hind right from a wire fence as a yearling but it has never bothered her. UTD on 5-way, farrier and deworming.
