Darone

Description

Darone is a tall, flashy 17hh grade gelding turning 8 in springtime. Bought him as a 6 year old with 30 days on him, but had been in pasture for a good while, I went straight to work with him. He’s big but don’t let his size fool you, he’s as strong, athletic, smooth, and agile as they come! Moves off leg and seat pressure like he knows what’s next even before you do. This guy has been my go to horse on a 2500 head cow/calf operation calving and roping, and doing it all exceptionally steady. He’s also been my main mount for one man doctoring, tracking bridleless, branding, and pulling 80 bulls in one season alone and did it beautifully. Hard as he works Darone is always ready at the gate waiting for the next day’s job. This past summer we did some ranch rodeoing and he was a star wherever he went! Darone took home the Top Horse Award at the North Cache Ranch Rodeo where he stayed steady and collected through all the rodeo excitement. Loading and trailering Darone has never been a problem as he practices this daily in calving season and he does great in the barn. Super with his feet, black on all fours, and wears a size 1 shoe. A gentle giant with the kids for an occasional ride. He’s an easy keeper and an eye catcher in the pen, his colors changing with the seasons. This roan is well rounded and well experienced in all areas of ranch work making him your next get on and ride horse.
He will come with a Vet Check prior to sale day. He’s located at Morsan Farms an hour out of Fort St John for anyone interested in taking a look. YouTube video to come, any questions contact Jeremy @ 250 793 4950
