Description
Aura is a 7 year old bay grade mare that is a good
utility horse, always ready for adventure. She has a
broad base of knowledge and experiences, giving her
the capability to specialize in any direction. Aura has
a good temperament, with a warm and sincere soul,
allowing for all skill levels of riders. We’ve used her as
a work horse; moving and sorting cattle, as well as a steady presence for young and green horses in training. Aura has
additionally been used as a pleasure horse in the
mountains ambling on trails,
used lightly for barrels and popping over some hunter jumper combinations. Additionally packing kids and
green horns around. She neck reins beautifully, responding to
voice, and leg cues, while also being light with her
mouth. Aura is very desensitized to ropes, rope
dummies, flags, and all sorts of shenanigans. She is
comfortable with dirt bikes, dogs, unpredictable
children, and other horses. To top it off Aura is just
as good being ridden bareback as she is in a saddle.
Aura is a remarkably versatile horse.
Aura has great feet
that have never been shod, even staying sound in Rocky Mountain terrain. She has had regular foot care
and is good to trim. She can be prone to seasonal allergies, to
the dust in hay, which does not limit her performance nor
ability to work. Aura is maintained with regular
husbandry, good routine health and wellness
practices which are kept up to date. She does best
when stabled outdoors, and fed forked hay or
pastured. She is good to load, catch,
blanket, bridle, and saddle, making her easy for
beginners to learn from. Aura does not appreciate being wet and cold, and would prefer to have a warm
blanket on. Aura truly is my go to horse for any
