Are you looking for Cowboy Kid Deluxe? You don’t have to look much farther than Turbo, this coming 6yr old 12.3hh gelding is the talk of the town everywhere he goes. Turbo was started and brought along by me until last spring, when he went out to spend some quality time getting ranch kid broke by Ira Hamm, who has done an absolutely remarkable job. Turbo has been used on the community pasture for two seasons, he’s seen take in and take out, moved fresh calves and fiercely stood his ground against cows and bulls double his size. We have taken him camping at the West Block in Cypress Hills, and he has been used to gather off that same block come fall. He not only keeps up with the big horses, but out walks and out works them too. Summer 2024 I hauled him out to the Ya Ha Tinda and both ponied and rode him through the mountains, he ponied a young stud through creeks and bush, and played in Eagle Lake. Not once did I worry about being alone because Turbo always looks out for his person.

Turbo is well broke w/t/l, with smooth lope transitions, a great big stop, A+ spin, neck reins, and rides off your leg. They don’t make ponies like this every day, heck they don’t even make them every year. He’s been hauled to rope nights, roped the heelomatic, been pasture roped off of, and has been lightly used for lessons. He’s built right, with good bone and a tough 000 foot, good to trim and handle.

Turbo is up to date on dental, shots, deworming, and trims. He catches you, loads, hauls, and ties quietly, he is gentle in a herd and does well turned out on pasture or on a bale, no special pony diet required. He will come with a basic Vet Check before the sale, he is blemish free and has never been injured. Turbo would be best suited for an intermediate type rider.
