Badger

Badger is an eleven year old ranch horse. I really don’t want to sell him as he is bomb proof but I have more horses that need way more riding. I have owned him since he was seven and he has turned into a great cow horse.
He has always been well mannered with a very mild calm temper. In all the time I have ridden him he has never offered to buck, hop, or any mean behavior. He had never roped a cow when I first got him, but for the past two years I have roped and drug calve in the branding trap with no accidents. I have tied off on him to doctor calves as you can see in the front picture. In the video I drag a barrel and face him up to it multiple times. Aside from roping he will open and close gates, neck reins, is great for sorting cows due to his calm manner, and fallows a bunch of cows like he was tied to them.
I live in some rough country with steep hills and rocky broken terrain. He will cross any creek, ditch, log, or obstacle. He very rarely jumps, but prefers to step over obstacles unless you make him. He is great in the timbered country, he won’t try to swipe you off on low branches, and has never smashed my knees into trees.
He has been very rarely ridden with another horse and it has never bothered him. I have encountered bears, wolves and other wild creatures. He has never freaked out no matter what jumps out of the brush.
I do all his shoeing and foot work. He is wonderful to shoe, never tugs, or leans on you. Picks up his feet when you touch his legs. he has good size 1 hard feet with straight thick walls.
He stands to saddle, brush, shoe, mount, and bridle. He is great to haul in trailers or load up ramps into stock trucks. He ties great and doesn’t pull back. He went lame once but came out of it over the winter.
In all the long days of riding he has never quit or shorted me to do anything. This horse will give you his all until he can barely walk and then some more. He has never left a job half finished.
